HEY peeps!(: i am back posting you guys the info for church service etc etc :)

Services This Weekend 20-21 Nov‏

Venue: Canning Room, The Fairmont
Speaker: Ps. Yang Tuck Yoong
Sermon: Pointers on Spiritual Warfare
Spiritual warfare is so much a part of the Christian life and if there is one area where the Church needs to up the ante, it is in the area of our call as a mighty army. When we face the evil onslaught of the spiritual hosts of darkness, the only thing that stands in their path of destruction is the Church. It is time for us to arise in faith and strength.
DONUT SUNDAY! To mark our last Sunday at The Fairmont, we will be serving donuts and coffee for breakfast this Sunday! If you're attending the 1st service, hang around for a good time of fellowship after the service. If you're attending the 2nd service, do come earlier at 10am. It'll be a great time to mingle and get to know someone over donuts!

GENERATIONS SERVICESunday 12.30pm Canning Room, The Fairmont L4Speaker: Ps. Paul Liu Sermon: A Disciple's Love Life (part 2) Are you worried over the choice of your life partner? I believe that it is not God’s will for us to gripped by anxiety - He wants us to be free to pursue Him, and to know that He will provide us with the right one! Instead of simply waiting and doing nothing, how can you prepare yourself for a relationship in the future? You can start now, and enjoy the process!

Sunday 2nd service • 10.30am Venue: Cornerstone Main AudiSpeaker: Pastor Yang Tuck YoongSermon: The Coming RevelationI am sensing very strongly that God is about to release a revelation to the church that's going to propel the church to a new level of authority. Understand that when revelation comes, it also brings along with it the power and authority of the Kingdom. A message not to be missed.

INDONESIAN SERVICESunday 10.30am Theatrette 2, Odeon KatongSpeaker: Peter Sam Sermon: The Power of Persistent PrayersLuke 18:1-6 speaks about the response of an unrighteous judge towards a widow. Being persistent is being patient and determined, being positive and having a strong belief in the Lord's goodness. Prayers open the floodgates of blessings. Come and be blessed!
FILIPINO 1ST SERVICESunday 10.45pm Theatrette 1, Odeon KatongSpeaker: Karen GatulanSermon: Freedom in ChristUnderstanding your identity in Christ is absolutely essential to success in living the victorious Christian life. The more you reaffirm who you are in Christ, the more your behavior will reflect your true identity!
FILIPINO 2ND SERVICESunday 2.00pm Theatrette 1, Odeon KatongSpeaker: Jay SamarSermon: Cultivating a Grateful HeartThe Israelites rebelled against Moses and Aaron and ultimately, against God. They grumbled and forgot the signs and wonders that God has shown them since being brought out from Egypt. They were ungrateful. Likewise, after being blessed and favoured by God, are we content and grateful, or are we seeking for more blessings? How do we have a grateful heart? We need a change of focus - from what we do not have to what we have, from getting a blessing to being a blessing.
GENERATIONS SERVICESunday 1.30pm Main Audi, Odeon KatongSpeaker: Sng Peh Han Sermon: Supernatural Series (Part 3) - When Heaven Invades EarthIn Matthew 6:10 tells us to bring the will of God to pass on earth as it is in heaven. What does that mean? The Holy Spirit rested upon Jesus and wherever He went, people received their healings, deliverances and breakthroughs. Heaven invaded people's lives! We are called to represent Jesus here on earth, bringing the Holy Spirit's power into lives wherever we go.
BURMESE SERVICESunday 1.30pm #02-24, Odeon KatongSpeaker: Pastor Saw ThihaSermon: Press On Toward The PrizeWe often give thanks for the forgiveness of God so that we could start the race. However, sometimes we struggle with holiness, and often without mentioning the deeds of repentance or receiving of the Holy Spirit. The need for perseverance in a Christian life is vital to finish the race. Sanctification is just as crucial as justification in our lives.

When we choose the fear of God in our lives, we will know the AWESOME God. For His wisdom surpasses all known things. He will make your life awesome too, when we yield to Him. Come and be blessed.

Speaker: Brenda MadridSermon: Insignificant to SignificantThe account of Jesus feeding 5000 with five loaves and two fish may be the best-known of Jesus' miracles. It is the only miracle recounted in all four Gospels, and it has a way of capturing the imagination. The smallness of our resources must not be an obstacle. If we learn to trust God, we will experience the joy of being basket-bearers of Jesus-empowered food to the multitudes, and we'll be there to pick up the left-over pieces and marvel at the weight of his abundance.

Speaker: Sng Peh HanSermon: Revival Series (Part 3) - Releasing The Young GunsThe Bible is a supernatural book written by a supernatural God for a supernatural people. In every revival in history, miracles, healings, signs and wonders are commonplace. Jesus says that we are to raise the dead, heal the sick, cast out demons - these signs will follow those who believe! God is raising up a prophetic generation of young people who will move in the gifts of the Spirit. Are we ready to be released to move in the power of God?
BURMESESERVICESUNDAY1.30pm#02-24Odeon Katong

Speaker: Ps. Saw ThihaSermon: InnermostAll revolutions, movements and transformations in history were ignited by a handful of radical people. Before these people 'explode' in radicalism, there was an implode internally in them. The beginning of revival has its origins in your innermost being. This is also the place of battle spiritually and mentally.

Speaker: Marjorie SamarSermon: The Foundation of Living WaterJeremiah 2:13 says “For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns - broken cisterns that can hold no water.” How often do we cling on to "broken cisterns” when God promises to constantly refresh us with Himself, the “fountain of living water”? Unless God intervenes in our lives, we will never experience real satisfaction.

Saturday service • 5pm
Sunday 1st & 2nd service
• 8.30am & 10.30am
Venue: Cornerstone Main Audi
Speaker: Ps. Yang Tuck Yoong
Sermon: A Growing Awareness of His PresenceThe key in life really boils down to one question - Is God with you and for you, or is He against you? Everything else is secondary. If we know that He is for us, then we have great confidence and courage to do mighty exploits in His name. But if we are not certain, then we lose that confidence. We are now entering into a definite season of a growing awareness of His presence in our midst and we need to recognize what that means and the implications for us in this hour.

Speaker: Sabrina LowSermon: When God's People PrayReading accounts on revivals, one will not and cannot miss out the key to it: Prayer. There are many praying men but few men of prayer. Many people express interest in revival. There are not so many deeply concerned about it, and fewer still burdened for it, still fewer are heartbroken about it. Leonard Ravenhill says it well, that we need to "quit playing and start praying. Quit feasting and start fasting. Talk less with men and talk more with God. Listen less to men and listen more to God. Skip travel and start travail". Bend the Church and the world will bow.

Speaker: Jay SamarSermon: Is Church Boring? Some people say, “I don’t want to go to church because it is boring.” or “It's not interesting and I don’t know anybody there”. Sometimes we are so eager to make excuses not to attend church. God created the church to have an authentic community among His people. However, church becomes boring when we don't understand its purpose and when we have false expectations. The goal of the church is not to entertain but know Jesus, His word and live for Him.

From:
Cornerstone Community Church (noreply@cscc.org.sg)
Saturday service • 5pm
Venue: Cornerstone Main Audi
Speaker: Ps. Yang Tuck Yoong
Sermon: A Contradictory WordWhen there's an upheaval in a nation, or when the Church is being judged or scrutinized, or when there's tragedy on a national scale, how do we discern what's actually happening? More precisely, what is God saying and doing? Is it judgment? Is it house-cleaning? Is it persecution? How do we discern what is happening in the Church today in the light of God's Word?
Sunday 1st & 2nd service • 8.30 & 10.30am
Venue: Cornerstone Main Audi
Speaker: Ps. Yang Tuck Yoong
Sermon: Cry for Me, Singapore
Don't we all sense that we are now entering into a "Kairos" season or God-moment where heaven touches the earth. I am convinced that we are at a verge of a mighty revival but it will only come when the price has been paid and when God has been satisfied with our sacrifice and obedience. The call has been given by heaven to us to push until there is an atmospheric shift in the spiritual climate and God saturates us with the spirit of revival. God is seeking to birth something very precious in us. It is time to cry for Him, Singapore.

Speaker: Ps. Freddy RumySermon: Motivation in FastingThis week we will learn about fasting. Many people harbour wrong motives for fasting - they fast in order to get recognition from others. We need to understand true fasting in accordance with the will of the God so that we can get the rewards of fasting, because there is great power in it. By fasting we put to death our fleshly desires, and we are able to understand the will of the God as we enter into intimacy with Him.

Jesus, in response to the disciples' questions before restoring sight to the man who was blind from birth, said that "Neither this man nor his parents sinned... but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life" (John 9:3). Let's find out how we can gain from our loss through this principle.

It is easy to submit when our wants are aligned with God’s will but we start to diverge when we don’t agree with His plans for us. Is your submission to God still questionable? Is your submission to God still negotiable? Submission to God is an all or nothing deal but the question is, has our faith reached to this point?

Speaker: Ps. Nelson DavidSermon: Keep That Ablaze! (Part 2)Timothy, the spiritual son of the apostle Paul, received special gifts of the Holy Spirit to enable him to serve the Church. Paul encouraged him to "Keep that ablaze! The special gift of ministry you received when I laid hands on you and prayed because God doesn't want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible". When we use the gifts of God, given to every believer of Christ, He manifests His power through us to be a blessing to those around us.

A Solemn AssemblyA Season of Prayer and Fasting Day 2
Tue-Thur 6-8 July 2010 7:30pmMain Auditorium We had a fantastic time at the first night of our series of prayer meetings. The Spirit of God moved and there was a witness in our hearts that we are making headways in the Spirit. Due to the overwhelming turn-out, we will be shifting the premises of the prayer meetings to Cornerstone Main Auditorium at Odeon Katong. Let's continue pressing in and seeking the Lord until He comes and rains righteousness on us.
See you tonight at The Cornerstone Audi!

A Solemn AssemblyA Season of Prayer and Fasting
Tue-Thur 6-8 July 2010 7:30pmKatong Auditorium During the church camp, Pastor Nicky Raiborde gave a very clear prophetic word that the next season for Cornerstone will involve fasting. This resonates with our hearts because we've been sensing and saying the same things. Several days before the camp, we had the realization that we'll not be able to overcome the spirit of cancer if we did not enter into a season of fasting and intense prayer. In response to what we know God is saying to us, we're declaring a 3-day fast from 6–8 July. We're asking all of you to participate in the fast, whether it's one meal, or two, or a full day, or all three days, but we really sense that we must obey the Lord on a corporate level. You'll also be aware that fasting is pointless if there's no prayer. Fasting without prayer is just plain old dieting and there's no power in that. So in conjunction with the 3-day fast, we're also calling for a 3-day church-wide prayer meeting from 6–8 July at the Katong Auditorium. We're confident that at the end of these three days, we're going to see a shift in the atmosphere in Cornerstone. There's already been a huge change in the atmosphere since the church camp, so let's keep up the momentum. The Wind of the Spirit is blowing and we need to set our sails and fly.Join us tonight at Katong Auditorium as we press in and to seek the Lord, and His righteousness and humility.

Saturday service • 5pmSunday 1st & 2nd service • 8.30 & 10.30amVenue: Cornerstone Main AudiSpeaker: Ps. Yang Tuck YoongSermon: A Season of FulfillmentOne of the amazing discoveries in the Word of God is that many of the great servants of the Lord were given an idea of their calling or assignments at a very early stage in their lives. Often, it seemed too wonderful or impossible when they first saw it, but as they followed the Lord, their assignment becomes clearer and is then manifest at a later stage in life after much trials and molding. We are now entering into a season of that fulfillment and the releasing of many into their divine destinies. We must allow the Lord to activate the calling in our lives.

Speaker: Peter SamSermon: Without Faith, it Is Impossible to Please GodFaith is the engine for all believers and without it, we can't go far. It involves work, but what type of works should we do? It involves expectation, which is the key to receiving from God when we pray. It involves seekers who are diligent, for He readies Himself to reward them. Start your mid-year with the faithful God, by embracing faith for the impossible!

Speaker: Sabrina LowSermon: Hell's Bells (new series)Hell seems to be a forgotten doctrine today. Many churches are more concerned with preserving the feelings of their hearers than the eternal preservation of souls. In fact, Jesus taught more on hell than He did on heaven. That's how serious the matter is! Hell has not lost its business and Satan is still in his quest of devouring souls. Time is running out! Hell's bells are ringing! It's time to wake up and smell the brimstone! It's now or never.

Speaker: Karen GutalanSermon: The Joy of the LordOne of the most popular passages in the Bible is Nehemiah 8:10: "Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Why is joy important? Because it produces strength, and strength is needed when we fight our battles. Many in the Body of Christ today are tired of fighting. They're struggling to fight because they've lost their joy and need joy to be restored in their hearts again.

Sermon: The Scourge of IdolatryIf you ever study the history of the Children of Israel in the Old Testament, it is one painful journey. You will discover tragedy upon tragedy and much of this really was the result of one major sin that the Children of Israel succumbed continually to; and it was the sin of idolatry. It plagued Israel all through her history, right from her early beginnings up to the captivity in Babylon, where once and for all, God was going to deal with this issue of idolatry. What are the implications for us in our generation? How do we deal with issues in our own lives?

In today's post-modern world, we have so many self-professed Christians who carry cardboard crosses that have been "tailored" to their own needs and wants; crosses that do not cost them anything. We must move from mere belief to obedience, from just calling Him "Saviour" to calling Him "Lord", from mere conversion to true discipleship.

God has clearly stated in His Word that when one is in Christ Jesus, he is a new creature. What are the benefits of this new life and why should one leave their old life for a new life in Christ? Amazingly, many Christians have the life but live according to the old ways. God has designed the Christian life to be a life of victory – whether you are kneeling, limping, standing or running. It's crucial for us to know these keys, as a car without fuel will not be able to reach its desired destination. Likewise,l a Christian without the fuel of the Holy Spirit can never reach his calling. May we be challenged to be refueled daily so that the fire will be kept burning!

The Day of Pentecost in the Book of Acts was where God first poured out His mighty power upon the Early Church. On that remarkable day, 3,000 were baptised with fire and the Holy Ghost. Thousands of years back, 3,000 were struck dead on Mount Sinai because of disobedience. As we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost, we learn that the pouring out of His anointing over the New Covenant Church is not only for power, but an outpouring of His beautiful presence with amazing grace.

This week, we talk about the five ingredients necessary to make every shepherding relationship an unforgettable one. So, if Jamie Oliver can cook, so can you. Come hungry!
AFRICAN SERVICESSUNDAY 9.00am @ Uni-Tech Bldg & 2.00pm @ T1, Odeon Katong
Speaker: Ps. Daniel KisaSermon: Foxes on Fire!
The life of Samson is an open book that the Holy Spirit uses to teach us several lessons. One of the most interesting happenings is when he caught three hundred foxes and sent them into the fields of the Philistines. At one point in life, we start off as foxes responding to the call. However, after the fire, the fields of the enemies of God and the foxes will both be destroyed. God has given the fire of the Holy Ghost, and the ability to gather foxes to the Church.

Yang Tuck YoongSermon: Building A House of His GloryThere is a difference between a revival and building a House of His Glory. A revival is a sovereign move of God in response to the deep hearts' cry of His people. This often takes place in a certain locale and can spread from one community to another. But building a House of His Glory takes very careful and deliberate, step-by-step planning, each step bathed with prayer and hearing what God desires. It is often a much longer and tedious process, but the fruit of building such a house has incredible holy repercussions.

For the past 25 years, Mickey has had a public ministry speaking in churches and to various groups of people. He shares the reality of God's power to change people's lives. The story of his testimony imparts hope and encouragement for any person to be an overcomer. Also, don't miss a special performance by Melbourne-based singer/songwriter/speaker, Simeon, at our weekend services!

If we walk in the habit of fear, it will become a stronghold and prevent us from reaching our destinies. Many men and women in the Bible missed out on God's promise of eternal glory because of their own desires and shortfalls. In the account found in the Book of Ruth, we see from the examples of 2 sons, 2 wives and 2 kinsmen and how the choices they made either qualified or disqualified them from possessing the inheritance God had for them.

Speaker: Peter SamSermon: Abiding in FaithIn the book of Philippians, Paul mentioned that he may be found in Christ, not having his own righteousness, which is from the law, but rather, the righteousness which is from God by faith. There's something about abiding in faith through Christ that's incomparable with the law. This is because without faith, it's impossible to please God. By pleasing God, He gives His favour upon those who live by faith. Come and join us in this faith-building week.

On His way to the Cross, Jesus was invaded by all kinds of people – the skeptics, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and many more. If you have the right critical mass, you can actually created a nuclear explosion. And throughout the Bible, we see that God always uses a critical mass, or a remnant, to stand in the gap or breakthrough for the blessing and release of the whole. We are not to despise the day of small beginnings. I believe the Church in this nation has reached critical mass to effect change, not just in our society, but in the nations. The time has come!

Everything that He did on the cross hinged on this one event. All that He did for us, all that He taught, all the miracles and wonders He performed, all this would have been in vain if He wasn't raised again from the dead. But Hallelujah, He did, and because of His victory over death and the grave, we too can look forward to the same experience. This is our blessed hope. Jesus exhorts us to have faith in God. Our faith is not to be a belief that we keep within our hearts, but a reality to be lived and expressed through our thoughts, words and actions as we go about our daily lives. Jesus Himself demonstrated this for us in Matt 8:23 as he calmed the storm.

Guest Speaker: Ps. Rey SolanoSermon: The Heart of the MatterIt's interesting to note that the struggle of wanting to do what is right always seems so elusive. In Gen 4:1-7, the story of Cain's rejected offering gives us an insight into the misunderstandings between our emotions, attitudes and will, and how these elements contribute to the outcome of our behaviours. To change our emotions, we must change our attitudes. Like the changing of a nautical course, a small degree of change will result in the change of our course in due time.
FILIPINO 2nd SERVICE SUNDAY2.00pmVenue: Katong Audi#02-34
Guest Speaker: Karen GatulanSermon: Hope of the ResurrectionThe resurrection is the triumphant and glorious victory for every believer. Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose on the third day according to scriptures. Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ important to our salvation? It demonstrated that God accepted Jesus' sacrifice on our behalf. It proves that God has the power to raise us from the dead. It guarantees that those who believe in Christ will not remain dead, but will be resurrected unto eternal life. That is our blessed hope!

When the Israelites left Egypt, they took jewels of gold and silver and anything else they needed. That was in fulfillment of the prophetic word given to Abraham over 400 years before. It was also Israel's "pay day" for many years of work and slavery. So it is that when Christ spoiled principalities and powers in His triumph on the cross and at His "exodus", believers today can partake of this victory through His death and resurrection power.

When Jesus bled in the garden of Gethsemane, He won the victory for Himself; when He bled on the Cross, He won the victory for us. Victory, victory, victory! Are you well-acquainted with victory? Always remember, the Book of Revelation ends with a smashing victory! In other words, God’s will for your life: Victory. Our culture: Victory. Our language: Victorious. Our destiny: Explosive victory! It's time for victorious people in the house to bring Jesus' victory to the young people of our land!

Speaker: Ps. Daniel KisaSermon: The New Temple
The holiness of God is something to be revered, and His glory draws worship forever. Yet Scripture declares that WE are the temple of God and that the Holy Ghost dwells within us. How then does sinful man become the dwelling place of the Most High, Most Holy, Almighty God? Is it a now position or a future reality?

Speaker: Ps. Nelson DavidSermon: The Triumphal Entry
When Jesus entered Jerusalem as the King of Jews, the crowds began to praise God for all the miracles they had seen, singing "Hosanna in the highest!" But later when they came to know that Jesus didn’t come to meet their carnal expectations, they wanted to crucify Him instead. Why do we praise, worship, give thanks or follow Jesus? Is it only for our carnal needs or because He gave His life as a ransom for our sins.

These two realms are distinct from each another and are separated. Those from one realm cannot assess into the other. Spirits and demons from the other realm cannot assess into our realm, and neither can we who are human beings assess into their realm. There is no crossover. "In returning and rest shall ye be saved…" (Isa 30:15). In life, there's always a time to take stock, examine our positions and do course correction. TELUGU SERVICESUNDAY7.30pmVenue: Uni-Tech Bldg55 Toh Guan Rd #03-01
Speaker: Ps. Nelson DavidSermon: The Triumphal Entry

Is it only for our carnal needs or because He gave His life as a ransom for our sins.

Speaker: Ps. Paul LiuSermon: Unshakable People seriesI was at a fast-food restaurant this week and was served by 20+ year olds at the counter. Without delay, orders were forcefully written to the governors of 127 provinces stretching from India to Cush. Esther 8:14 tells us that “The couriers, riding the royal horses, raced out, spurred on by the king's command.” Today, the King’s Gospel spells Good News to this perishing world.
